GLYNDON, Minn. (July 20, 2021) – After taking a mini mid-summer break, Buffalo River Speedway is set to roar back to life on Sunday night with a big night of racing. With a special 5:30pm start time, the tight quarter-mile oval will host IMCA Modifieds, WISSOTA Midwest Mods, IMCA SportMods, IMCA Hobby Stocks, Short Trackers, INEX Legends and the Lucas Oil POWRi Minn-Kota Lightning Sprints. Lucas Rodin topped the field in the main event. The fifth annual IMCA Hobby Stock Mid-Summer Shootout will conclude at Buffalo River Speedway on Sunday night as well. The four-race, four-night tour kicks off at Kossuth County Speedway in Algona, IA on Thursday, before making visits to Princeton (MN) Speedway on Friday and North Central Speedway in Brainerd on Saturday. Sunday’s Hobby Stock feature will pay $1,000 to the winner. The Lucas Oil POWRi Minn-Kota Lightning Sprints will be making their third appearance of the season. The first two events were one by Alan Truscinski and defending series champion Dexter Dvergsten. And many more come backs yet to come! I'm from Hamilton, Ontario, but we don't have much speedway racing like this out there, so all my friends and I go to Buffalo each summer to visit the grandma and watch some action!
